Somewhere deep in my blog lies a post from 2018 all about my workout song choices at the time. I’m sure many can relate; a lot has changed since then. Two years have passed, there’s been new workouts, new songs released, and I even decided upgrade from headphones with a cord attached!
With that, I’ve decided to give everybody an update on what is likely blasting through my new AirPods at the gym…subtle flex, I know.
Being a fan of almost all genres I like to mix things up a bit when I’m in the gym. Personally, I listen to very different music depending on what I’m doing, for example I probably wouldn’t listen to the same songs lifting heavy weights as I would doing cardio. Using a similar approach, I’m going to break up my top 5 songs in a few different categories to give you an idea.
I highly encourage everyone to find what type of music motivates them the most in the gym, and create a few playlists based on your workouts, mood, whatever it may be! I’ve always had a deep appreciation for music, I’m that person that would rather listen to Spotify than watch Netflix. Truthfully, sometimes all you need is a good workout and some good music to match.
